suzuki takayuki では、【時間】と【調和】というものをコンセプトに服作りを続けています。

私たちは、時間の流れや、時の存在を強く意識させられるものに魅力を感じ、
とても価値を感じています。

経年変化を強く感じられる天然素材や、
人の経験や知識が積み重ねられた複雑な構造、
そして伝統的な技術によって生み出されたものなどを強く意識しています。
逆に、時代と共に忘れ去られた技術などを掘り起こし、
仮説を立て取り入れる事も実験的に行っています。

また、複雑な要素を持つものが互いに作用しあってバランスが取れ、
共存し一つのものになっているものに強く惹かれます。
たくさんの相反する要素が、
ここでしか成立しないという一点でバランスをとって存在しているもの、
そういうものに美しさを感じます。

そして、それらを兼ね備えた服が、
自信を持って自分らしく毎日を過ごす事のお手伝いを出来ればと考えています。

年齢や性別に関係なく、自然な魅力を引き出してくれる服、
普遍的で、上品で、繊細で、やさしく、
控えめではありますが、強くて、ポジティブなエネルギーを与えてくれる服。
そして何より、着る人を受け入れてくれる隙間があり、
着る人を支え、共に長い時間を過ごしていける服。

とても難しいですが、そういう服を目指して製作を続けています。

At suzuki takayuki, we continue to make clothes based on the concept of [time] and [harmony].

We are fascinated by the passage of time and the things that make us strongly aware of the existence of time, and we value it very much. I feel it.

I am strongly aware of natural materials that are strongly aging, complex structures that accumulate human experience and knowledge, and those created by traditional techniques.

On the contrary, with the times. We are also experimentally digging up forgotten technologies and incorporating hypotheses.

Also, things with complex elements interact with each other to balance, coexist and become one.

I am strongly attracted to the fact that many conflicting elements exist in a balanced manner that can only be established here, and I feel the beauty of those things.

And the clothes that combine them give me confidence. I would like to help you to spend your daily life with it.

Clothes that bring out the natural charm regardless of age or gender, universal, elegant, delicate, gentle and discreet. Clothes that are strong and give positive energy. And above all, clothes that have a gap to accept the wearer, support the wearer, and spend a long time together.

But aiming for such clothes I'm continuing to do.

 

 

東京造形大学在学中に、衣服の芸術的側面を追求した作品を発表する為、ギャラリーを使った展示会を行う。
その中で、イラストレーター／宇野亞喜良との出会いをきっかけに、映画、ダンス、ミュージシャンなどの衣装を手掛けるようになる。

2002年、自身のブランド「suzuki takayuki」を立ち上げる。
2007年より、東京コレクションに参加。
同年、環境に配慮した物作りの為、オーガニック素材に特化した「ikkuna/suzuki takayuki」を スタート。
2009年、Milano Unicaでのイベント「オン・ステージ」にVogue Italiaが選ぶ世界の新鋭デザイナー10名の中の一人として選ばれ、合同ショーに参加。
2012年には、インドにて開催された「Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week」で合同ショーに招待デザイナーとして参加している。
2014年には、ウェディングドレスラインの、「suzuki takayuki marriage」を立ち上げる。
また、2015年～2018年とインドネシア・ジャカルタファッションウィークに招待デザイナーとして参加。インドネシア企業との共同企画を行った。

近年では、様々な企業とのコラボレーションや、「TK from 凛として時雨」「BUNP OF CHICKEN」「ゆず」など、様々なアーティストのツアー衣装のディレクションや衣装提供、その他、演劇、映画、ダンスなど舞台関係での衣装製作、舞台美術等の空間演出なども精力的に行なうなど、ブランド事業にとらわれない新たな活動も開始している。

また、現代サーカスグループの　「仕立て屋のサーカス」に参加し、青山スパイラルホール、金沢２１世紀美術館や、スペイン／マドリードの芸術センター matadero madrid での公演など、国内外での活動の幅を広げている。

2016年9月、情熱大陸(MBS)出演。

Born Aichi,Japan,while attending Tokyo Zokei University, he held an exhibition using a gallery where he presented his works pursuing the artistic aspects of clothing. He started to work on costumes for movies, dance, musicians,etc.after meeting and being influenced by illustrator Akira Uno.

In 2002, he launched his own brand "suzuki takayuki”.

Since 2007, he has participated in the Tokyo collection. In the same year, he started "ikkuna / suzuki takayuki", which specializes in organic materials, for environmentally friendly manufacturing.

In 2009, he participated in a show at the "On Stage" event at Milano Unica, where he was selected as one of Vogue Italia's 10 newest designers in the world.

In 2012, he participated in a show as an guest designer at "Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week" in India.

In 2014, he launched the wedding dress line "suzuki takayuki marriage". He also participated in Jakarta Fashion Week, Indonesia as an guest designer from 2015 to 2018 and he co-planned with the Indonesian company.

In recent years, he has collaborated with various companies, that directed tour costumes for various artists such as "TK from Ling tosite sigure," "BUNP OF CHICKEN," and "Yuzu," which his company provided costumes for. He has also started new activities that are not tied to the brand business, such as making costumes in Japan and energetically directing spaces such as stage art.

He also participated in the contemporary circus group “circo de sastre” and expanded his activities at home and abroad, including performances at the Aoyama Spiral Hall, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and the art center matadero madrid in Madrid, Spain.

In September 2016, he appeared on japanese documentary tv show "Jyonetsu Tairiku" (MBS).
